Our Experience
We focus on the analyses and interpretation of the data collected via primary research or data mining. Our aim is to transform the data into insights which support the business decision of our clients.
We also have experience in building and analyzing large scale, complex data warehouses. One example is the Smart Meter Project, where we collect, database and analyze 15 minutes level electricity consumption data from 18,000 Hungarian households.
One of our specialties is complex modeling, based on micro level consumption data or industry analyses.
Besides research and analyses, we also teach SPSS and offer help for our clients.
Many of our senior colleagues teach research methodology and SPSS on graduate or postgraduate level.
We have great experience in conducting surveys on sensitive topics. Below is a selected list of such projects from the last few years:
- Establishment Survey supporting the National Crime Prevention Strategy (2017) - a research project conducted for the Hungarian National Crime Prevention Council. The population of the survey research covered 11-17 years old Hungarian pupils represented by a sample of 10,918 respondents. The F2F survey included questions on topics such as bullying, pranks, and becoming witnesses, victims or even offenders of crime. The project was conducted in cooperation with Eotvos Lorand University Faculty of Social Sciences, Budapest.
- NATCONSUMERS (2015-2017) - an international research project coordinated by Ariosz and funded by the EU Horizon 2020 framework. The consortium members were from 8 EU-countries (BE, ES, FI, GR, HU, IT, NO, UK). The research project was designed to improve feedback to consumers about energy usage within the EU residential sector based on both smart meter and survey data. Our consortium developed a methodology for communicating more effectively with consumers by using "Natural Language" - friendly, emotionally intelligent, relevant and simple.
- Status report on school education regarding the topic of Holocaust (2015) - a multi-part research project commissioned by the Hungarian Institute for Educational Research and Development and Zachor Foundation for Social Memory. The goal of the survey was to reveal best practices and gaps in Hungarian public education related to maintaining the social memory of the Holocaust and to support further trainings for schoolteachers. The online survey covered headmasters (n=1,237), teachers (n=2,595) and pupils (n=1,477) as well.
- Establishment Survey supporting the modernisation of social services and social policies (2013) - a research project conducted for the Hungarian National Institute for Family, Youth and Population Policy.
